Draw the gun then yell "Halt, or I'll switch off the safety! All of them!"

I shot one like this. Too many dopey safeties on Springfield guns. Safeties that are hard to remember when you've learned to shoot on Glocks and revolvers. I like the fancy looking guns for the same reason I like fancy looking cars. As long as it works well, why not travel in style. As far as this particular Springfield goes, it wasn't good, bad, or indifferent. That's probably how a good gun should be, but heavy and clunky should carry along some other redeeming values to offset heavy and clunky. Here we switch carry ammunition depending upon the season. Our probable targets begin wearing bulky clothing in a few weeks so the big fat bullets go to the range to die and the smaller, faster bullets get swaddled all snug in their new home.
